Abstract/Notes

Objective: The purpose of this case study is to discuss the positive health outcomes of a woman with high blood pressure undergoing chiropractic care.

Clinical Features: The patient was a 52-year-old female presenting for chiropractic care with a chief complaint of high BP She had an initial blood pressure reading of 185/90.

Interventions & Outcomes: The patient was placed on a care plan of one adjustment a week for 12 weeks. Over a 12-week period the patient was seen 12 times and received 12 diversified full spine chiropractic adjustments. Objectively the patient experienced a decrease in her BP over the 12-weeks she was under care.

Conclusion: The woman reported on in this case experienced an improvement in her blood pressure following chiropractic care. Further research is warranted to explore the role of chiropractic in the management of this patient population.
